Shots fired, but no injuries at GCCC parking lot
Garden City, KS(westernkansasnews.com) Monday at 11:00 p.m. Officers of the Garden City Police Department were called to the Garden City Community College Residential Life Parking lot (801 Campus Dr.) for reported shots fired. The caller advised several rounds were discharged in the parking lot from a vehicle, and the vehicle fled the scene westbound on Spruce St.
Evidence was located at the scene to confirm the witnesses’ statements.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a verbal altercation occurred between several people in the parking lot, during the verbal altercation, a gun was brandished from the vehicle, and the shots were fired.
There are no injuries in this incident. This is an active investigation; no further information will be released at this time.
