FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH HOSTS 19th ANNUAL NAVAJO TACO DINNER
Back by popular demand is the 19th Annual Navajo Taco Dinner sponsored
by the First Christian Church, 306 N. 7th Street, Garden City. Save the date this special dine-in or carry-out meal will be held Saturday, March 3rd, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the church basement. The meal consists of authentic Navajo Indian Fry Bread, topped with beef, beans, and a variety of condiments. A slice of homemade pie and beverage is included in the ticket price of $7. Tickets can be purchased at the church office during regular business hours. Tickets at the door will be $8. A live auction of antiques and collectibles will begin at 6:00 p.m. Auction will include a 95×95 beautiful quilt sewn by local quilter Stacy Fickel, entitled “She Came from Kansas”, each block tells a unique story of a Kansas woman. The quilt is made with fabric called Kansas Troubles which is manufactured in Bennington, Kansas. For more information contact the First Christian Church at (620) 275-5411. Last year over $19,000.00 was given back in outreach to community organizations like: Russell Child Development Center, Family Crisis Center, and many other local charities.
