Western Plains Welcomes First Baby of 2018

Dodge City, KS(westernkansasnews.com) The Family Birth Center at Western Plains is ringing in 2018 with the year’s first bundle of joy. Weighing 7 pounds and 8 ounces and measuring 20 1/4 inches, Samantha was born to Diana Casteñon, Monday, Jan. 1, at 1:48 am.
“We are thrilled to welcome our new baby girl/boy!” said Diana. “The physicians, nurses and staff at Western Plains Medical Complex took such great care of us and we are so grateful to them for making this experience so special.”
The Family Birth Center at Western Plains is committed to providing high quality, compassionate care close to home for new and expecting parents. The Birthing Center offers state-of-the-art family rooms, home atmosphere, brand new equipment and furniture, two triage areas for emergent care, and a Level 2 NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) that has private suites for babies.
