Minneola man killed in three car accident
Minneola, KS(westernkansasnews.com) A three vehicle accident in Ford County Wednesday morning killed a Minneola man.
At 7:30 a.m. on U283 3.5 miles north of Minneola. Vehicles three and one were northbound on U283 at milepost 35. Vehicle one attempted to overtake and pass Vehicle three. Vehicle two was southbound on U283 at milepost 35. All thre vehicles attempted avoidance maneuvers. Vehicle one struck Vehicle two head-on. Debris from the collision then struck Vehicle three.
The driver of vehicle one 28 year old Caleb Douglas of Minneola was killed in the crash. The driver of vehicle two 57 year old Sofia Ponce was taken to Western Plains Regional Hospital for her injuries.
