Red Demon soccer routes Hutch in playoff opener
Dodge City, KS(westernkansasnews.com) The Dodge City High School boys soccer team rolled in their playoff opener Tuesday night 7-0 over Hutchinson.
The Red Demons were led by Diego Olivares with two goals. Miguel Baca, Josue Castillo, Alan Lopez, Cesar Alvarez and Erik Martinez all scored one goal.
Dodge City scored five goals in the second half despite playing down a player after a red card in the first half.
The Red Demons will play Thursday night at 6 p.m. at home in the Regional Championship against Wichita East, who beat Topeka 4-1 on Tuesday.
