Liberal wins SCHS Girls Tennis Invite, Scott City second

Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–With a lighter field to contend with this year, the Scott City Tennis Invitational went like a breeze on Monday, as teams continue to fine tune their game before regionals in two and a half weeks. It was the Liberal Redskin tennis team who would capture the top spot in Scott City, while the Lady Beavers worked their way to a second place finish.

For Scott City, they got a first place finish from their No. 1 Singles player Cynthia Gonzalez. They won on a tiebreaker. The Lady Beavers also got a second place finish from their No. 2 Doubles team of Dallie Metheny/Yami Sanchez.
