Red Demons rolled at Heights
Wichita, KS(westernkansasnews.com) Friday night was the K’Vonte Baker show for Wichita Heights as they hammered Dodge City 65-0.
Baker returned from a two game suspension to rush for 428 yards on 12 carries and eight touchdowns. Baker was also 3-4 passing for 55 yards.
Dodge City sustained two tough injuries in the first half. Starting quarterback Beau Foster went out early in the first quarter with a possible concussion. To make matters worse backup QB and the Red Demons top skill player Dawson Williams went out in the second quarter with a possible collarbone injury. The status of Foster and Williams going is not known
Williams still led the Red Demons in rushing with 66 yards on seven carries. Tade Pike had 14 carries for 59 yards.
The Red Demons return home next week to begin WAC play against Great Bend.
