Maria Paz Farris, age 73, died Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Good Samaritan Center in Liberal, KS . She was born January 24, 1944, in Villa de Reyes, San Luis Potosi, in Mexico, the daughter of Alejo and Margarita (Patron) Lagunas, Sr.
She worked as a press operator at Thompson Cleaners in Liberal and in packing at National Beef Packing Co.
On September 15, 1972, she married Max Stanley Farris in Liberal, KS. He died January 30, 2010.

2 Grandchildren Aeryk Guzman and Aaron Moorman.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 5 Brothers Jose, Guadalupe, Francisco, Pilar and Margarito Lagunas.
Vigil and Rosary will be held 7:00 p.m., Monday, June 19th at Brenneman Funeral Home Chapel, 1212 W. 2nd, Liberal, KS.
Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Liberal with Fr. George Fajardo, presiding. Burial will be in the Restlawn Cemetery, Liberal, KS.
Visitation will be 9:00 am to 8:00 pm Monday at Brenneman Funeral Home with the family present to greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
