Gas Prices Look Good for Memorial Day Travelers
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) With the Memorial Day weekend coming up gas prices look good for those who will travel this weekend.
Kansas is ranked number 10 for the lowest State average gas prices in the country at $2.16, which is six cents higher than last year. The price in Garden is the same as the state average, two cents lower than last week, but ten cents higher than last year.
National Gas Prices are increasing for the first time in four weeks up two cents to $2.36 a gallon. It’s also eight cents more than the price a year ago.
The increases are likely the result of rising demand and crude oil prices according to AAA. At least 36 states saw price increases this week.
