Garden City Electric Department Receives Honor
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) The Garden City Electric Department received a Reliable Public Power Provider designation from the American Public Power Association for safe and reliable service.
The designation was given at the Association’s annual Engineering & Operations Technical Conference in San Antonio.
The designation lasts for three years and gives credit to public power utilities that show expertise in four areas: reliability, safety, workforce development and system improvement.
Garden City is now one of more than 220 public power utilities across the country with the honor.
