Stanley Thomas Ricker

Stanley Thomas Ricker, 80, Pueblo West, CO, died May 4, 2017, peacefully at home. Stanley was born on June 27, 1936, in Gibbon, OK, to William Ponder and Ethel (Thomas) Ricker. He was a barber for over 40 years in Gunnison, CO, and Scott City, KS. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends; and he loved the beauty of the Colorado mountains. He always showed great determination, and fought MS for over 30 years.

Stanley is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Ricker, of the home; his children, Dustan (Stephanie) Ricker, Akron, CO, Tara (Kevin) Logan, Manhattan, KS, Rustan (Stacie) Ricker, Phillipsburg, KS, Kara (Ollie) Burton, Pueblo West, CO and Tristan (Kerri) Ricker, Elizabeth, CO; his brothers, Frances (Dorothy) Ricker, Douglas, WY, Gary (Peggy) Ricker, Scott City, KS, Larry Ricker, El Dorado, KS and John Ricker, Medicine Lodge, KS; his sisters, Wanda Bolman, Wakita, OK, Joyce (Neil) Knutson, Denver, CO, Donna Hanna, Hutchinson, KS and Rita Foss, Nixa, MO; his grandchildren, Brandon Porter, Joplin, MO, Dusti Ricker, Neosho, MO, Kalee Logan, Pretty Prairie, KS, Brenden Garza, Washington, D.C., Garret Ricker, Los Angeles, CA, August Ricker, Phillipsburg, KS, Cole Wenzl, Phillipsburg, KS, Mallory Ricker, Elizabeth, CO, Lonny Burton, Pueblo West, CO, Brooklyn Garza, Pueblo West, CO, Madelyn Ricker, Elizabeth, CO, Cara Wenzl, Phillipsburg, KS, Ella Wenzl, Phillipsburg, KS, Rebecca Burton, Pueblo West, CO and Gunnison Ricker, Phillipsburg, KS; his great-grandchildren, Westen James Richardson and Kennedi Anne Klier, Neosho, MO; and many nieces and nephews.

Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, William Ponder and Ethel Ricker; his brother, Bill Ricker; and his granddaughter, Ashley Porter.

Visitation will be 3-7 p.m., Monday, May 8, 2017, at T.G. McCarthy Funeral Home, Pueblo, CO, with his Celebration of Life Service beginning at 1 p.m., Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at the Beulah United Methodist Church, Beulah, CO.

A Graveside Service will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas. Memorials may be made to Beulah United Methodist Church and Frontier Hospice in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
