Winter Storm Not All Bad For SW Kansas
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) The recent winter storm wasn’t all bad news for SW Kansas.

The area was briefly out of drought in 2016 but for the most part has been in a drought for the last seven years. While the moisture was certainly welcome in the area it will still present challenges for farmers according to Egronomist AJ Foster with the K-State Extension office.
After the recent moisture, Western Kansas will settle into a dry pattern over the next week.
