Evans Two Homers Leads Liberal’s Nine Run Win Over Dodge
Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) The tone of Tuesday’s single baseball game was set very early between Liberal and Dodge City.
Redskins Pitcher Cole Evans (5-0) went deep twice on a solo homer in the first and three run blast in the second inning and Evans surrendered just five hits and two runs while striking out eight as the Liberal Redskin remain undefeated at 9-0 winning their conference opener 11-2 win at Demon Field over Dodge City.

The Demons also had six errors including two errors in each the second and third when Liberal scored seven of their 11 runs.
Evans had four RBI all on his two homers off Lucas Hefner. Jhett Brown added a two run single for Liberal in a four run third.
Some bright spots for Dodge was that in the fourth they had three of their five hits capped off with a run scoring single from Ryan Armstrong and RBI groundout from Rylan Allen.Adrian Mendoza also pitched well in relief for Hefner allowing two runs, one earned over the final four innings.
