Cunningham Wants Legislature to Keep Promises on School Funding
Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) While school officials are pleased the legislature is talking about chipping in an additional 750 million dollars over five years the concern is will the state follow through. USD 443 Superintendent Alan Cunningham of Dodge City says if enacted elected officials can’t be sidetracked from what is promised.
Cunningham praised the public for moving the discussion on this issue.
Cunningham is comfortable that the State Supreme Court will have the final say on whether the amount is enough to fulfill the adequacy component of education funding.
