Medicaid Expansion Focus of Legislative Forum
Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) There is an important vote expected this week to override the Governor’s veto of medicaid expansion, it a became a topic of discussion at the legislative coffee Saturday in Dodge City. State Representative Brad Ralph of Dodge views this as an economic development issue by helping rural hospitals.
District 38 State Senator Bud Estes is against expansion refuting claims the idea is budget neutral.
If the override is successful, Kansas would become the 33rd state to approve medicaid expansion.
