Gerald L. (Toby) Chapman
Gerald L. (Toby) Chapman was born September 28, 1940 at Utica, Kansas and departed this earthly life March 2, 2017 in Wichita, Kansas.
Toby was the second of four children born to Jack G. and Lena (Schweitzer) Chapman. He grew up on the family farm north of Utica and graduated from Utica High School.
After serving in the U.S. Army he lived in Massachusetts, Colorado and Ohio before moving to Kansas in late 90’s. While living in Ohio he came to find Jesus and joined the 7th Day Adventist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one nephew and one niece. He leaves to mourn his passing 2 daughters; Sara (Cory) Thompson and her 3 children Dylan, Brenden and Emily; Rose (Michael) Boyer and her 2 sons Tyler and Tristen, all of Sidney, Ohio; 2 brothers, Leland (Sandra) Chapman, Goshen, Indiana and Russ (Alana) Chapman, Dighton, Kansas; 1 sister Bonnie Chapman, Denver, Colorado; 2 nieces and 1 nephew; and one very close friend, Jim Coast, Cimarron, Kansas.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no formal services held. Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Cimarron is in charge of arrangements.
