Single Fire Sets State Record
(westernkansasnews.com) As of Wednesday, March 8th more than 502,000 acres have burned in Clark County and Comanche County combined setting a record for the biggest fire in Kansas history. Last year’s Anderson Creek fire burned a little more than 312-thousand acres in Barber and Comanche Counties. Although most of the fires have been contained, there are still blazes in Clark, Comanche, Ellis, Reno and Rooks County.
