Gerald “Jerry” Baier
Gerald “Jerry” Baier, 63, of Tyrone, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, KS.
He was born on August 21, 1953 to Val and Marcella (Irsik) Baier at Holcomb, Kansas . He worked as a Truck Driver over the years hauling heavy equipment, cattle, the oilfield, and hauling meat for National Carriers. He and his wife operate the Rockin LJ Wildlife Rescue & Equine Sanctuary & Fantasy Ponies for Parties. He married Janet (Younger’s) Scheuerman. He later Married Lori-Ann Krieger on October 26,1999 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
He was a member of Knights of Columbus and St.Mary’s Catholic Church in Garden City, Kansas.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Lori-Ann Baier of Tyrone, OK, Daughter, Angela Gillam and husband Waylon of Etna, WY, Daughter, Tiffany Peitz and husband Zach of Garden City, KS, Sister, Aggie Millershaski, Sister, Marie Millershaski, Brother, Joe Baier, Sister, Rosie Sander, Brother, Larry Baier, Sister, Loraine Becket, Brother, Charlie Baier, Sister, Wanda Murray, Sister, Betty Simmons. 7 grandchildren – Dylon,Cash,Woodrow, Evan, Faith, Trey, Annastyn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Brother, Jimmy Baier, Johnie Baier, Sister, Marcy Culver, Brother-In Law, Jim Sander, Brother-In-Law, Don Millershaski, Brother-In-Law, Richard Millershaski, Nephew, Michael Baier, Nephew, Ed Deaver.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 10:00am – 2:00pm at Miller Mortuary, Liberal, KS.
A celebration of life will follow visitation at 2:30 Thursday at Miller Mortuary Chapel with Pastor George Lambert officiating.
Cremation will follow services.
A memorial fund has been established in Jerry’s name at the Community Bank of Liberal.
