Governor Brownback Set to Unveil Budget Proposals at State of the State
Topeka, KS (westernkansasnews.com) A sharp criticism of Governor Brownback is that with a budget shortfall of 350 million dollars this year, he has given no indication about the cuts he’ll make and tax increases he will proposal to balance the budget. With the state of the state address planned for later today, House Majority Leader Don Hineman of Dighton knows we will soon have all the answers because time is precious.
Hineman would not go into the reasons why the Governor has waited so long to reveal his plan of action. The Governor is expected to submit his budget in writing Wednesday.
