Lucille Mae McGrew
Lucille Mae McGrew, 97, died November 25, 2016 at Bethel Home in Montezuma. She was born on April 20, 1919 at Cimarron, the daughter of John and Lula (Pittman) Cox.
Lucille grew up in Cimarron and was a graduate of Cimarron High School. On September 4, 1943 she married Robert McGrew at Dodge City. She was a bookkeeper for several area businesses including the Ford County District Court where she worked until her retirement.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Dodge City.
Lucille is survived by two daughters, Candace Foskuhl and husband David of Montezuma and Cheerie Baker and husband Dave of Council Grove; a brother, J.T. Cox & wife Joan of Wichita; six grandchildren, Alicia Sader and husband Scott of Lawrence, Adrian Vogel & wife Corie of Roeland Park, Adam Vogel of Tampa, Florida, Hali Bielser and husband Collin of Fairbury, Nebraska, Elizabeth Baker of Topeka and Richard Foskuhl and wife Amanda of Montezuma; five great grandchildren, Winston Sader, Fletcher and Rosalie Vogel; and Jentry and Kaydence Foskuhl. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert McGrew; infant son, Dennis Jennings; three brothers and three sisters.
Funeral service will be held at the First United Methodist Church, Dodge City on Tuesday November 29, 2016 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Jerre Nolte presiding. Burial will follow at Cimarron Cemetery in Cimarron. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel, Dodge City on Monday November 28, 2016 from Noon to 8:00 PM.
