Kearny County Survey Focuses on Health and Wellness
Lakin, KS (westernkansasnews.com) A survey examining eight different aspects of health and wellness was done of Kearny County residents earlier in the year. Hospital CEO Benjamin Anderson was pleased by how many people responded.
Four Baylor pre-med students and volunteers help gather the results. Judy Johnston is a Researcher of Preventive Medicine at the KU School of Medicine in Wichita and says awareness of what health services were available was different when broken down by key demographics.
Some other things were apparent in the survey. One is respondents genuinely feel overall health is in their own hands.
But the passion behind that statement differed on who you talked with.
Monday we will let you know how Kearny County officials plan to use these results.
