Alma Sylvia Duncan, 94, died Monday, September 5, 2016 at Presbyterian Manor of the Plains, Dodge City. 

She was born March 8, 1922 at Spearville, the daughter of Paul and Anna (Ehly) Kramer. She was a lifetime area resident and was a homemaker, seamstress and amateur artist. 

On February 25, 1942 she married Raymond L. Duncan in Denver. He preceded her in death on March 13, 2010. 

Survivors include: 2 brothers, Paul Kramer, LaPalma, California and Don Kramer, Wichita; 2 granddaughters, Amanda Stewart, Tempe, Arizona and Abby Royal, Kansas City, Missouri, son-in-law, Jerry Mayes, Guthrie, Oklahoma; 3 step-grandsons, Greg Mayes, Scott Mayes and Steve Mayes, 13 great grandchildren/step-grandchildren, and 6 step-great grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces. 

She was also preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Dana Mayes, sisters, Leona Shipp, Margaret Schawe, Agnes Jochems and Eldean Chipman. 

Memorial graveside service for both Raymond and Alma will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore with Fr. James Baker presiding and full military honors for Raymond by Chester Hawkins American Legion Post 290 and Military Honors for the State of Kansas. There will be no public viewing, cremation has taken place. Friends may sign the register from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City.
