Delores “Dee” Dahna

Delores “Dee” Dahna, 74, died Thursday, September 1, 2016 at her home in Dodge City. 

She was born August 20, 1942 at Paris, Illinois, the daughter of Clarence and Margaret (Cline) Barr. She moved to Dodge City from Paris in 1958 and was a graduate of Dodge City High School. She spent many years as a cook for USD 443 at Sunnyside and Lincoln Grade Schools and also worked for Rainbow Laundry. 

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dodge City. She enjoyed watching sports and attending the car races in Dodge City as well as NASCAR on TV. 

On February 14, 1963 she married George Dahna at Dodge City. He preceded her in death on April 20, 2001. 

Survivors include: her 2 sons, Harry Dahna and wife Deb, Dodge City and Bill Dahna and fiancé, Wanda Desselle, Sublette; and her granddaughter, Amanda Dahna, Wichita. 

She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother. 

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at the First Baptist Church, Dodge City, with Pastor Steve Ormord officiating. Burial will follow in Greencrest Memorial Gardens, Dodge City. Visitation will be from noon to 6:00 pm Monday at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City.
