Mary D. Rojas

Mary D. Rojas, age 92, died on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at the Homestead Health and Rehabilitation in Garden City, Kansas. She was born on May 16, 1924 in McPherson, Kansas the daughter of Manuel and Maria Rodriguez Delgado.

She has been a resident of Garden City since the mid 1920’s. Mary was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church of Garden City.

On April 11, 1944 she married Bartolo M. Rojas in Garden City, Kansas. He passed away on August 23, 2013 in Garden City, Kansas.

Survivors include:

One Son Gilbert Rojas of Garden City, Kansas

Three Daughters Oletha Cox of Garden City, Kansas

Rose Mary Beltran of Garden City, Kansas

Brenda Villa of Garden City, Kansas

Two Sisters Lelia Leon of Bucklin, Kansas

Josephine Guadalupe of Pittsburg, California

numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three sons, Jimmy Rojas, Pete Rojas and Danny Rojas; two daughters, Gloria Perez and Susie Garcia; six brothers, Frank Delgado, John Delgado, Paul Delgado, Julian Delgado, Joe Delgado, and Mickey Delgado; one sister, Lola Barnett.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church, Garden City, Kansas on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, September 12, 2016 and from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Price and Sons Funeral Home of Garden City, Kansas. Vigil and Rosary services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at the church.

Interment will be held at the Valley View Cemetery immediately following the Mass of Christian Burial.
