No laughing matter; Buffs soccer stomps TMP
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com)-Sometimes one team is so over matched, you can see it coming a mile away.
Tuesday afternoon at Buffalo Stadium, Thomas Moore Prep never knew what hit them.
Kevin Benitez scored 12 minutes into the match; Emmanuel Carillo added two goals in the second half, and Garden City put the hammer down on the Monarchs 6-0 at Buffalo Stadium.
“If we stay aggressive, we are very tough to beat,” Assistant Coach Josue Negron said. “Today, it definitely showed.”
After Benitez got the Buffaloes on the board, Alec Keosengphet made it 2-0 with a goal in the 33rd minute.
The score stayed that way until early in the second half when Brian Carrera and Jose Herrera netted goals within four minutes of each to make it 4-0.
Garden City out shot TMP 18-2. Kender Acevedo recorded one save.
