This Fall Ford County Voters to Decide Changing Current Liquor Law

Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Commissioners in Ford County are going to put a proposed change to current liquor laws before the voters in November.  The current law states that establishments selling liquor must make at least 30 percent of sales in food or else it is considered a private club where memberships must be sold for those who wish to enter.

The change would strip that kind of stipulation so that the requirement wouldn’t be necessary.  The new Boot Hill Distillery has the most to gain from changing the law because they would no longer be required to sell memberships as a private club if approved by voters.
