Dorla Helen Sharp
On July 2nd, 2016, heaven gained another beloved, mother, devoted wife, artist and angel, Dorla Helen Sharp.
Dorla passed peacefully in her Lake Arrowhead home alongside family and husband of 61 years. Daughter of Theresa Helen Armstrong and Henry Russell. Dorla was born as Dorla Helen Russell in Emporia, Ks on March 17th, 1933. She graduated from Emporia High School in 1951 and married Jim Sharp in 1955.
Dorla had and is survived by her three children Lynne Quint and her husband Randy, Dana Denton, and Russ Sharp. 6 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
Dorla poured her kind heart, creative energy, and passion for life into raising her children, co-owner Country Sampler Cross-Stitch in Dodge City Ks, and participated in community, curricular, and charitable organizations and functions. Dorla loved animals, music, shopping, laughing, fishing, family, her husband, and life in general. Her love and spirit was genuine, contagious, and remains alive and thriving in those who love and knew her.
Join us in celebrating Dorla’s life with family, friends, and loved ones at Lake Arrowhead’s Shelter House, Lake Arrowhead on Saturday July 9th beginning at noon. A private family inurnment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Dodge City.
