Former Scott City star signs with Knicks
Scott City, KS (westernkansasnews.com)-Ron Baker’s ultimate dream was to hear his name called on draft night.
“That would mean so much to my mom and dad,” Baker told NBA.com during the combined earlier this month. “They have meant so much to me.”
Baker never heard his name called, but did cement his future after agreeing to a one-year deal with the New York Knicks. The contract is only partially guaranteed, and Baker will play for their Summer League team in Orlando next month.
Baker’s teammate Fred VanVleet also came to terms on an undrafted, free-agent contract with the Toronto Raptors.
