Cauble: KS Schools Will Not Lose Federal Funds From Transgender Controversy
Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Earlier this week the State Board of Education voted unanimously 10-0 to ignore President Obama’s threat of pulling federal funding if Kansas schools do not begin letting transgender students use the restroom they identify with. Boardmember Sally Cauble of Dodge City says it comes down to this, they are already following the law.
Cauble is not worried about the threat of losing more than 400 million dollars in federal money for education.
The issue is expected to be tied up in the courts. 11 states have already sued the Obama Administration.
