Questions Mount For USD 457 Ahead of School Funding Deadline
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) There are more questions than answers for USD 457 ahead of an approaching court ordered shutdown on July 1st if the legislature does not fix the equity part of funding the state’s education system. District Public Information Coordinator Roy Cessna on the common questions school officials are asking.
Teachers would not get paid either. The school board is concerned talk of a possible shutdown is already taking a toll.
Cessna says a link to the USD 457 website would address commonly asked questions and the answers to the potential shutdown.
