Jim graduated from Hill City High School in 1966 and stayed with the family farm until starting to work for Colorado Interstate Gas Co. and moving to Wamsutter, Wyoming in 1980. In 1982 he was transferred to Deerfield and stayed with the company until 2001 when he became a Pumper for Crown Consulting. In February of 2016 he and his wife started J & C Pumping, LLC. Jim has always worked parttime for area famers in the Deerfield area. He enjoyed reloading, collecting & shooting guns, fixing up antique tractors, Nebraska Cornhusker football and had sang in a church quartet. His special love was doing anything he could for his family and friends.
