John Salvador Sandoval, Jr.
John Salvador Sandoval, Jr., 50, died April 12, 2016 at Neptune Beach, Florida. He was born on August 13, 1965 at Dodge City, KS the son of John S. and Patricia (Saucedo) Sandoval.
Mr. Sandoval worked as a mechanic for Pep Boys in Wichita. He enjoyed working with his hands and could fix anything. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and was an avid fan of the Oakland Raiders as well as the Los Angeles Lakers. He also enjoyed fishing, listening to music and art in his spare time.
He was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe of Dodge City.
Survivors include a son, John Joseph Sandoval of Dodge City, a daughter, Brittany Sandoval of Dodge City, mother Patsy Sandoval of Dodge City, three sisters, Sharlene Sandoval and Erin of Neptune Beach, Florida; Trish Contreras and husband Manny of Las Cruces, New Mexico; Pilar Sandoval and Alex Munoz of El Paso, Texas; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by is father John Salvador Sandoval Sr. and one brother Joseph Lawrence Sandoval and his grandparents Timothy and Pilar Sandoval and Sara Rodriguez Saucedo.
Funeral Mass will be held at Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Wesley Schawe presiding. Cremation will follow the funeral mass. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home on Monday, April 18, 2016 from 2:00 to 7:00 PM. There will be a vigil service on Monday, April 18, 2016 at 7:00 PM at Swaim Funeral Home in Dodge City. Memorials are suggested to John Sandoval Jr. Grandchildren’s Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
