Myron R. Gillock
Myron R. Gillock, age 66, died on March 8, 2016 at his residence in Garden City, Kansas. He was born on December 4, 1949 in Garden City, Kansas the son of Andrew Monroe and Ruby Maude Gillock.
He was a graduate of Deerfield High School and the Goodland Vocational School. He was a member of the Army Reserves, Eagles Lodge, and the American Legion all of Garden City, and the First United Methodist Church in Deerfield, Kansas. Myron worked for Deerfield Ag for 30 plus years.
On December 4, 1982 he married Nancy Suzanne Heili in Deerfield, Kansas. She preceded him in death May 2004.
He is survived by:
One Daughter Kathy Smades of Great Bend, Kansas
One Son Louis Michael Zellner III “Trae” of Hougton, Kansas
Two Granddaughters Autumn Smades of Leoti, Kansas
Summer Smades of Leoti, Kansas
One Brother Gordon and Barbara of Deerfield, Kansas
One Sister Neva and Steve Quakenbush of Garden City, Kansas
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one brother, Truman Gillock, one sister, Mavis Thomas, and one nephew Sheridan Gillock.
Funeral Services will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Deerfield on Monday, March 14, 2016 at 2:00 P.M.
Visitation will be on Sunday, March 13, 2016 from 1:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M.
Memorials in Lieu of flowers are suggested to the Myron Gillock Memorial Fund in care of Price and Sons Funeral Home; 620 N. Main St. Garden City, Kansas 67846.
Interment will be held at the Deerfield Cemetery in Deerfield, Kansas following the service.
