Norma graduated from Garden City High School in 1939 and then graduated from Garden City Community College. During World War II she worked at the Independent Hardware Store in Garden City. Norma was very active in her community, church and her children’s life. She also enjoyed teaching Sunday School, serving on committees and other church and community activities. After her children were older she became the Office Manager for the local Girl Scout office and took part in Girl Scout activities including camping trips. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, 1 Brother- Franklin Oldweiler & 1 Great-Grandson- Noah Heitman.
