Carl attended school in Cushing and Agra, Oklahoma. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp from 1942 until 1948 where he was stationed in China, Burma, India and Okinawa and was a aircraft instrument specialist. After his discharge he attended the Elgin Watch College in Elgin, Illinois. From 1953 to 1961 he operated Bonebrake’s Time Clinic in Dighton where he also was a President of the Lane County Chamber of Commerce and a charter member of Christ The King Lutheran Church. In 1961 he moved to Garden City and rebuilt TV tubes with Frank Schmale at their business- Perma Screen. In 1967 he went into sales at Team Electronics until his retirement. He enjoyed taking classes at Garden City Community College and recently was the oldest enrolled student there and also serving on the church council at his church. He was preceded in death by his Parents and 1 Sister- Marie Juanita Livecy.
