Cunningham Responds to State Discussing Increased Oversight of Local School Bonds
Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) The legislature is debating many big issues in Topeka and one of them has to do with tightening oversight over local school bond issues. Superintendent Alan Cunningham of USD 443 in Dodge City is already in the middle of administering an 85 million dollar facilities improvement bond. He feels there is enough oversight already.

While the debate continues, Dodge City schools are moving forward with their 85 million dollar facilities bond passed last summer. Superintendent Alan Cunningham is pleased with the progress.
The plans include increased capacity for the rapidly growing high school.
All buildings in the district are expected to see some improvements which includes adding storm shelters.
