Doctor Swender: Student Population at GCCC Comes From All Over
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) As we approach the Martin Luther King holiday, the issue of diversity comes up. Garden City Community College President Dr. Herbert Swender says the good news for students is that enrollment numbers already prove GCCC attracts people from every walk of life.
The student enrollment for females is between 55-60% in any given semester. Not only has the makeup been there, but now there is a chance to discuss the issue of diversity in greater detail.
GCCC students come from nine countries and forty different U.S. states.
