Moore Headline Speaker for TOC Basketball in Dodge City
Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Next Thursday begins a big weekend for Dodge City in hosting the annual tournament of champions. The longest running boys basketball tournament west of the Mississippi will bring in eight of the best teams in the state at United Wireless Arena.
DCHS Athletics Director Jay Gifford says the event starts with the speaker for Saturday’s TOC Breakfast, Kansas City Royals General Manager Dayton Moore.
Moore has ties with Southwest Kansas as a graduate of Garden City Community College. Tickets for the FCA breakfast are still available through the Dodge City High School Athletics Department. Gifford has received high praise for the atmosphere TOC creates.
Some 350 DCHS students have some direct part in the TOC.
