Huelskamp: State of the Union Lacked Focus on Country’s Problems
(westernkansasnews.com) Western Kansas U.S. Congressman Tim Huelskamp was in attendance for President Obama Tuesday night State of the Union Address. Huelskamp did not hide his disappointment for the substance of the President’s speech.
While the clock is ticking on the end of President Obama’s term many people are weary of what could happen.
There is some good news. After being kicked off the agriculture committee by then House Speaker John Boehner, it appears Congressman Huelskamp is gaining the influence once had under the new leadership of Boehner’s replacement Paul Ryan. While still not on the Ag committee, Huelskamp is attempting to flex his new muscle in helping his constituents.
Huelskamp also serves on the panel that determines committee assignments and he hopeful that will lead to a House Agricultural assignment when the new Congress convenes in January.
