Accidents Claim Two Lives on Icy Roads in Southwest Kansas
(westernkansasnews.com) The state highway patrol says two fatality accidents were caused by icy roads on Thanksgiving Day. One in Finney County occured shortly after 4:30 on US 50, one mile east of Big Low Road. The rollover accident ejected 23 year old passenger Josh Huber of Garden City. The victim died almost three hours later at St. Catherine Hospital. Two others were injured.
Around two in the afternoon a rollover accident took the life of a 70 year old man from Hodgeman County. Troopers identified the victim as 70 year old Frank Espinoza of Hanston. The accident took place at K-156, seven miles east of US 283.
Several other minor accidents were also reported in the area. You are advised to slow down and allow a greater distance in these icy conditions.
