Waterpark Groundbreaking and Welding Center Celebrated

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Governor Brownback other dignitaries were invited to two public events in Garden City Tuesday.  The first was a groundbreaking for the new indoor water park which will open next year adjacent to the Ascend Hotel by Old Chicago.

The second was a ribbon cutting for the opening of new student housing and welding center at Garden City Community College.  State Representative John Doll on the reason for their success.

All who spoke highlighted the opportunities students will have by working at the new welding center.
