TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) – The Kansas Department of Labor says the state had 36,000 job vacancies from April to June. That’s an increase of more than 17 percent from a year ago. State officials say it’s a good sign for people looking for work. The most vacancies were in education and health services, followed by leisure and hospitality.
