Federal Grant to Help Fund Body Cameras For Dodge City PD
Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) The Dodge City Police Department received good news with the recent announcement of a 45,000 thousand dollar federal grant to equip officers with body camera. All Dodge City Police have to do is match the grant they received. Police Chief Craig Mellecker tested several systems and likes the convenience of the one they decided on.
Police are not the only ones that can see the video.
Mellecker wanted body cameras three years ago, but the department was fell short on money.
