Commission Ready to Issue Revenue Bonds For Milk Processing Plant
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) The Garden City Commission approved the intent to issue revenue bonds of up to 240 million dollars as the next step for a dairy processing plant to be developed near the Jameson Energy Center on the city’s south side.
The cost for Meadowlark a subsidiary of Dairy Farmers of America for developing the property is 235 million dollars and would be paid back by the company. The plant is expected to open in two years and will employ 55 people.
