Wheeler Intends to Run For State House
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) The announcement months ago State Representative (District 123) John Doll of Garden City has decided to run against Larry Powell for the seat in the State Senate has created an opening. Former Finney County Attorney John Wheeler has taken the first step to run for the seat Doll will leave behind.
The Republican has hired a treasurer and can begin fundraising. Wheeler wants to take a u-turn on funding the state’s schools.
Wheeler expects to file the official paperwork for his candidacy around Labor Day.
