Details Released on New Milk Processing Plant
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews) Officials from Garden City and Finney County made the announcement late Friday afternoon entering into a preliminary agreement with Dairy Farmers of America to build a plant in town.
This plant is aimed at delivering product to other markets and overseas. President and CEO of the Finney County Economic Development Corporation Lona DuVall on what this news means.
The plant will be constructed on the 83 by-pass next to the Jameson Energy Center and be completed by 2017. DuVall thinks the long-term benefits will be far reaching once this facility is built.
What role will Garden City Community College play with this new facility. We will have that part of the story Tuesday.
