Merwyn Lee Massa

Merwyn Lee Massa 68, died May 17, 2015 at Select Specialty Hospital in Wichita, KS. 
He was born June 25, 1946 in Liberal, KS the son of Joseph Bethel and Lovetta Rose (Hocket) Massa. 
Merwyn was a lifelong resident of Liberal, Ks and graduated from Liberal High School in 1964. 

He worked with his father and brother at Massa Painting starting in 1963 and he retired in 2004. In 1971, Merwyn started baking cakes, pies and candies. He was well known for his ability to make angel food cakes and over the years, he baked hundreds of cakes for family and friends. He also enjoyed collecting antique glass and furniture and was an avid Gardner growing many different kinds of flowers. 
When he had time he enjoyed doing ceramics. 

Survivors include: 

Brother Carl Massa and companion Avis Brown Liberal, KS 

Sister Blinda Massa Liberal, KS 

He is preceded in death by his parents. 

Memorial service will be held at 10:00 Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Brenneman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rex Petty presiding. Inurnment will be held at Restlawn Cemetery. 

A register book will be available to sign on Wednesday May 27, 2015 from 9am to 8pm at Brenneman Funeral Home. 

Cremation has taken place.
