Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com)-After just one season with the Broncbusters, Garden City Community College golf coach Matthew Zedrick was dismissed. The school cited budget concerns.
“Matt has done a great job with this program,” Athletic Director Ryan Ruda said on Tuesday. “But our enrollment isn’t high enough to support a full-time coach.”
The school instead will move the job back to a part-time position, which could save the college north of $30,000 per year.
Zedrick was the fourth coach since the program was brought back in 2011.
