Lady Buffs softball destroys Hays
Hays, KS (westernkansasnews.com)-Abbie Dart and Dusti Beffort have been as reliable a 1-2 punch as anyone in the state. On Tuesday, it was Dart’s turn to flirt with perfection.
The sophomore tossed a 105-pitch no hitter, striking out 15 as Garden City won their opener with Hays 5-0 before walloping the Lady Indians in the finale 15-6.
Dart walked only two batters and struck out five Hays’ batters at least two times.
The offense was sparked by Haley Saldana, who belted a two-run homer in the finale. She drove in four runs on the day.
Garden City improves to 13-5 overall.
