Tyra Verdoorn
Tyra Verdoorn, 50, died April 12, 2015 at her home in Dodge City. She was born on April 29, 1964 at Gulfport ,Mississippi the daughter of Woodrow and Norma (Tartavoulle) Brady .
She married Greg Verdoorn on August 24, 1991 in El Paso, Texas, he survives. Mrs. Verdoorn enjoyed spending time with her family and making blankets.
She was a member of the Howard Gotschall VFW Post #1714 Ladies Auxillary in Dodge City.
Survivors include husband Greg of the home; two daughters Kasey Kirk and husband Mike of Dodge City; Kerry Necaise of Dodge City; one son Brendan Necaise and wife Samantha of Kiln, Mississippi and ten grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister Tyla Fitzsimmons of Garden City, Kansas; three brothers Frank Wheat of Waveland, Mississippi; Destin Brady of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi; Jerry Brady of Waveland, Mississippi.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a baby sister Kerry “KK” Brady.
Funeral service will be held at Swaim Funeral Home on Friday, April 17, 2015 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Jeff Turner presiding. Burial will follow at Kansas Veterans’ Cemetery in Ft. Dodge . Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home on Thursday, April 16, 2015 from 12:00 to 8:00 PM. Memorials are suggested to Tyra Verdoorn Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
